Incidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
- Oct. 26, 9:02 p.m. City of Warsaw Parks Department reported damage to a play structure at Kelly Park.
- Oct. 26, 9:27 a.m. Kmart of Warsaw reported a suspect caught shoplifting by loss prevention.
- Oct. 26, 11:47 a.m. Dwayne Hoover, Warsaw, reported damage to mailboxes at 836 Lydia Dr.
- Oct. 26, 11:48 a.m. Freddie Helton, Warsaw, reported damage to mailboxes at 2000 Shell Bark Ln.
- Oct. 26, 8 a.m. David Fulkerson, Warsaw, reported damage to mailboxes at 2102 Whitetail Run.
- Oct. 26, 3:26 p.m. Christina Nieto, Warsaw, left the scene of an accident near 3350 Lake City Hwy.
- Oct. 27, 1:52 a.m. Amanda Ramsey, Warsaw, reported an unlawful residential entry when at 512 Clinic Ct.
- Oct. 27, 3:48 a.m. Warsaw Police encountered an individual who was driving while intoxicated near 2621 E. Center St.
- Oct. 27, 1:33 a.m. Two adult females were struck while at Suzie’s Sand Bar at 1360 W. Center St. An adult male and adult female were arrested at the scene for battery.
- Oct. 27, 8:10 a.m. Dustin Jansma, Warsaw, reported a lost wallet at the Walmart in Warsaw.
- Oct. 27, 9:17 p.m. Warsaw Police arrested Roger Gamble for operating a vehicle while intoxicated at 998 Lake City Hwy.
- Oct. 27, 10:12 p.m. Krystle Johnson, Warsaw, reported theft from a motor vehicle at 2501 Walton Blvd.
- Oct. 27, 10:33 p.m. Cindy Deeter, Warsaw, reported a burglary at 1411 Flora Ave.
- Oct. 27, 11:07 p.m. Warsaw Police responded to a report of criminal mischief where a thrown raw egg broke through a resident’s window at 1009 Country Club Dr. South.
- Oct. 27, 11:56 p.m. Warsaw Police encountered an individual on the roadway who had never obtained a driver’s license. Individual was arrested.
- Oct. 28, 10:52 a.m. Warsaw Police encountered an individual driving in excess of the posted speed limit on West Winona Avenue. Upon stopping the suspect, the officer discovered that Juan Ramirez, Warsaw, had never obtained a driver’s license and he was arrested.
- Oct. 28, 12:45 p.m. Moses Mcnees, Warsaw, reported a found bicycle at 711 E. Smith St.
- Oct. 28, Warsaw Police were called to 2204 E. Market St. for a drug complaint, where they discovered a meth lab in the garage of the residence.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department have recently investigated the following traffic accidents:
- Friday, Oct. 26, 11:56 a.m. SR 15 North. Drivers: Nicole Caudill, 25, 4435 S. Magee Rd., Warsaw; and Mark Dvorak, 50, 606 Market St., Sturgis, Mich,; and Donald Hieber, 54, 4340 Bruick Rd., New Haven. Caudill rear ended Dvorak, pushing him into Hieber. Damages: up to $50,000
- Friday, Oct. 26, 5:01 p.m. U.S. 30 East an Center Street. Drivers: John Beer, 19, 12985 N. 300 West, Milford; and Amanda Vandermark, 31, 404 S. Williams St., Nappanee. Beer rear ended Vandermark’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Saturday, Oct. 27, 3:30 p.m. North Detroit Street and East Fort Wayne Street. Drivers: Roberta Rose, 70, 811 N. 2nd St., Warsaw; Robert Brown, 60, 4022 Pheasant Knoll Ct., Auburn, Calif.; and Teresa Brown, 52, 4190 S. 1200 West, Mentone. Rose rear-ended Brown who was pushed into Teresa Brown’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
- Friday, Oct. 26, 5:31 p.m. Winona Avenue. Driver: Brian Evans, 40, 5950 W. 200 South, Warsaw. A deer ran into the road and collided with his trailor. Damages: up to $2,500
- Friday, Oct. 26, 6:15 p.m. Fisher Avenue. Drivers: Keenan Yates, 20, 902 S. Lake St., Warsaw; and Iris Delacruz, 27, 714 W. Winona Ave, Warsaw. Yates pulled out from behind a vehicle and was hit by an oncoming Delacruz. Damages: up to $10,000
- Sunday, Oct. 28, 9:08 a.m. East Tyner Street. Driver: Arnetta Miller, 53, 1037 E. North Winds Dr., Warsaw. Miller ran into three mailboxes while delivering newspapers. Damages: up to $5,000
- Sunday, Oct. 28, 2:10 p.m. Husky Trail and North Parker Street. Drivers: Amit Gupta, 39, 412 Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw; and Pricilla Teeple, 63, 313 Sophie Ln., Warsaw. Gupta entered the intersection as Teeple was entering and the vehicles collided. Damages: up to $10,000
- Sunday, Oct. 28, 7:50 p.m. 2400 E. Center Street. Drivers: Alisha Mcdonough, 29, 600 N. Lindberg St., Warsaw; and Michele Goss, 45, 1623 E. Market St., Warsaw. Mcdonough opened her car door as Goss attempted to pull into a parking space next to her. Damages: up to $2,500
