Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following incidents:
Aug. 31, 11:30 p.m., Susan Bannon, Warsaw, reported a theft at Union Street.
Aug. 31, A shoplifting was reported at the Walmart Supercenter in Warsaw.
Aug 31, 1:37 p.m., Truman Clutter, Warsaw, reported driving while on a suspended license, wreckless driving.
Aug. 31, 2:18 p.m., A shoplifter was arrested at Kohl’s and transported to Kosciusko County Jail.
Aug. 31, 9:30 a.m., Marie Kado, Warsaw, reported that the copper from her rental unit’s refrigerator had been stolen.
Aug. 31, 4:47 p.m., during a welfare check, police learned of a domestic battery situation at Wexford Place.
Aug. 31, 7”06 p.m., Carolyn Whitsett, Warsaw, reported a theft of personal information.
Aug. 31, 10:03, Michael Shell, Warsaw, reported a dog bite at Garfield Street.
Sept. 1, 1 p.m., The Underground reported a burglary. Daniel Kitch was booked at Kosciusko County Jail for the burglary.
Sept. 1, 5:07 p.m., a Warsaw woman reported battery at East Market Street.
Sept. 1, 10 a.m., a Warsaw woman reported battery and theft.
Sept. 1, 1:35 p.m., Melissa Swing, Warsaw, reported that she forgot her wallet at the Walmart in Warsaw.
Sept. 1 7:18 p.m., a Warsaw man reported battery at Pine Hills Road.
Sept. 1, 7:38 p.m., a shoplifting was reported at the Walmart Supercenter. Suspect was taken into custody.
Sept. 1, 10:37 p.m., a Warsaw woman reported battery at Provident Drive.
Sept. 2, 6 a.m., Renne Mccammack, Warsaw, reported theft from a motor vehicle.
Sept. 2, Eugene Humes, Warsaw, reported an attempted suicide.
Sept. 3, 1:45 a.m., Matthew Kruger, Warsaw, reported criminal mischief in the form of a broken window at his home.
Sept. 3, 8:56 a.m., the Menards in Warsaw reported an attempted conversion of lithium batteries.
Sept. 3., 1:35 p.m., a Warsaw woman reported battery on Anchorage Road.
Sept. 3, 6:04 p.m., Allison Blanchard, Warsaw, reported auto theft.
Sept. 3, 9:01 p.m., Jacob Swafford, Warsaw, reported a male on a red four wheeler asking his son if he wanted a ride.
Sept. 3, Jeremy Garber, Warsaw, was arrested on charges of possession of chemical reagents with intent to manufacture meth.
Accidents
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, Sept. 2, 1:16 p.m., Detroit Street and East Pope Street. Drivers: Susana Contreras, 21, 407 N. Central South, Akron; Carl Roark, 70, 735 Willowdale Dr., Kokomo. Contreras moved forward to see around a pole, pulling out, and was hit by Roark’s vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
Monday, Sept. 3, 12:04 p.m., 3356 Lake City Hwy. Drivers: Sarah Huffman, 44, 117 N. Ochard Dr., Warsaw; Bryan Lenfestey, 35 EMS B33A1 Ln., Warsaw. While backing out of a parking spot at Wendy’s, Huffman and Lenfestey backed into each other’s moving vehicles. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Aug. 31, 5:11 p.m., East Center Street. Drivers: Holly Fountain, 20, 104 S. Calhoun St., South Whitley; Rebecca Ditton, 16, 602 Zimmer Rd., Warsaw. Fountain’s vehicle collided with the rear of Ditton’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Aug. 31, 10:18 a.m., South Buffalo Street and East Prairie Street. Drivers: Calvin Stutzman, 18, 324 9B Rd., Bourbon; Joshua Rhoades, 40, 627 S. Lake St., Warsaw. Stutzman drove through the intersection during a red light and collided with Rhoade’s vehicle. Victim, Robin Rhoades, 41, was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for contusion and possible Thoracic compression fracture. Damages up to $25,000.
Friday, Aug. 31, 9:47 a.m., U.S. 30 and Commerce Drirve. Drivers: Kolten Krull, 19, 1865 S. 400 East, Columbia City; Kenneth Schrecongost, 78, 73 EMS B23 Ln., Pierceton. Krull rearended Schrecongost at the traffic light stop. Damages: up to $5,000
Friday Aug. 31, 12:34 p.m., North Detroit Street and East Main Street. Drivers: Jason Hemphill, 28, 2455 E. Whispering Trl., Columbia City; Julie Lantz, 39, Grundy, VA. Hemphill rear-ended Lantz as the light changed to green. Damages: up to $5,000
Thursday, Aug. 30, 3:23 p.m., South Buffalo Street. Drivers: Jerry Squires, 56, 7995 N. 750 West, Larwill; Eric Lafavour, 40, 2010 Chapman Lake Dr., Warsaw; Sherri Johnson, 1217 Meadow Ln., Warsaw. Squires rearended Lafavour, who was pushed into Johnson. Damages: up to $25,000
Thursday, Aug. 30, 8:48 p.m. West Winona Avenue and Austin Drive. Driver: Roger Reed, 33, 103 E. Main St., Atwood. Reed collided with a deer at the intersection. Damages: up to $2,500
