Akron Man Jailed For Warsaw Burglary
At approximately 5:05 a.m. Saturday, Warsaw Police responded to The Underground, 3865 Lake City Hwy., after receiving a report that the glass front door had been broken. The owner of the business met officers at the scene and together reviewed the surveillance video. Officers recognized the three male subjects from a traffic stop that was made earlier that day.
Warsaw Police issued an attempt to locate on the suspects vehicle, a 1997 black Pontiac Grand Prix. A Fulton County deputy stopped the vehicle and detained two juvenile suspects. Indiana State Police located the third adult suspect at his residence in Akron and took him into custody.
Daniel W. Kitch, 19, 6746 E. 250 S., Akron, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on charges of Burglary with Forcible Entry, a class C felony.
The two juveniles, both 17 years old, were released to parents and burglary charges will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Probation Department.
At this time, the owner of The Underground noted it does not appear anything was taken from the business.
Kitch is being held on a $5,000 bond.
