DUI Task Force Notes Checkpoint
County and local law enforcement agencies participating in the Kosciusko County DUI Taskforce will continue to conduct roving patrols and sobriety checkpoints during the month of September 2012. This project is made possible through grants received by the Governor’s Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving.
DUI Taskforce Indiana is a year-long statewide project aimed at reducing alcohol-related crashes, deaths and injuries. With the increase in traffic during the summer months, the Kosciusko County DUI Taskforce is committed to making the roads safer by their increased presence and DUI enforcement throughout Kosciusko County.
The following taskforce will establish roving patrols from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, to 2 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, and will also have a Sobriety Checkpoint set up on Sept. 14, at Wawasee Middle School, 9850 SR 13 N, Syracuse, IN.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the DUI Taskforce include Kosciusko County Sheriffs’ Department, Mentone Police Department, Milford Police Department, Pierceton Police Department, North Webster Police Department, Silver Lake Police Department, Syracuse Police Department, Warsaw Police Department and the Winona Lake Police Department.
