Seven Arrested at Waubee Park
Seven people were arrested in two incidents during the past week at Waubee Lake Park in Milford.
On July 4, Harrold Barkdull, 31, of Wolcottville, Darryl Woolen, 43, of Goshen, Teresa Morgan, 40, of Goshen, and Sherree Rogers, 55, of Goshen were charged with public intoxication after harassing a lifeguard. A fifth person was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Elkhart County. The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Syracuse Police Department assisted on the call, which came in at 5:34 p.m.
At 5:13 p.m. Monday, July 9, Milford Town Marshal Rich Miotto and officer Timothy Miller, responded to another call at the beach during which a lifeguard was struck.
The suspects in that incident had left the scene by the time law enforcement arrived, Miotto reported, but were later located in Elkhart County by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
Michael McKibbin, 18, of Millersburg, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and battery. Neil Preston, 20, of Millersburg, was charged with illegal consumption.
